Review | MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer

So a couple of weeks ago I picked up a few of the MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquers mainly because I wanted to test them out and see if they were going to be new favorites of mine. I chose the shades Poise, Tranquility and Halcyon (swatches at the end). I got mine at Kruidvat for € 4.99 each. The MUA website claims that “the quick-dry formula glides on effortlessly to leave a gorgeous matte finish, that is smudge proof & long-lasting.”

One thing I noticed right away was that these liquid lipsticks have a sweet candy-like smell. The formula is very lightweight and dries completely down after a couple of seconds. I love that they don’t feel heavy on the lips and don’t seem to accentuate the lines on my lips. They also didn’t transfer on my hand when I did the kiss test, but I did notice it slowly started fading away after I ate lunch. I wasn’t too bad, but that’s definitely something to keep in mind.

The packaging is completely made out of plastic, which makes it feel a bit cheap but I don’t mind that. The doe foot applicator makes it incredibly easy to apply the product on the lips. Poise is a warm brown/nude shade, which is definitely my favorite out of the three. Tranquility is a soft pink and Halcyon is a bright coral shade.

Overall, I can’t complain about these liquid lipsticks. They sit so comfortably on the lips and for that price I can definitely look past the longevity!
